Dublin, Ireland – Wednesday 28th March 2018: 2016 Formula Ford dominator Niall Murray is set to make a sensational return to the British Formula Ford 1600 Championship in 2018, once again racing with the team that carried him to that great success – Team Dolan.

Having enjoyed a mixed programme of events in 2017 that included debuts in both USF2000 in the USA and British GT in the UK, the highlight of that being in Donington Park, securing 3rd in GT4 with Century Motorsport aboard their Ginetta G55 GT4.

However since this record breaking season in 2016, Murray has always been keen to add further glory to his already comprehensive CV and this season will see the young Dubliner return behind the wheel of the very car he used to such good effect in the past – the Van Diemen RF99.

Having only concluded a deal to join Team Dolan in the recent days, Niall is set to get right in at the deep end with the opening round of the series taking place this weekend at the Silverstone National Circuit over two days. For 2018, the British Formula Ford 1600 Championship will support the newly launched and hotly anticipated TCRUK Series.

That car holds a very special place for me, with Bernard’s hard work in 2016 there was very little got in our way and I really hope we can pick up where we left off. It won’t be easy, the competition will be pretty tough this year with plenty of good drivers out there, especially now that we are on a really strong race weekend package with TCR. With my sponsors Murray Motorsport, CL Brakes, SuperB, OMP and P1 : Digital, I’m confident we will be right in the mix come qualifying.”
