Silverstone GP Circuit has been taken off the market.  The decision was made following Liberty Media taking  control of F1.  In a statement, BRDC chairman, John Grant explained: “After further reflection and, in particular, completion of the sale to Formula 1 to Liberty Media, the board has decided to shelve discussions about a sale and continue on a go-it alone basis”.  Grant said: “While this is not without risk, we feel sufficient confidence in the improved prospects of our business to justify this change of direction”.

Reading between the lines, Liberty Media have sufficient confidence in Silverstone GP Circuit to work with the BRDC in a mutually agreeable way.  Liberty Media have loosened the thumb screws that had been applied over the last few years.
