POSTED 20th February 2017 Formula 1 Sauber Launch The ‘Sauber C36-Ferrari’. Being wider, bigger front and rear wings, larger tyres, the 2017 Sauber will deliver more downforce and grip. In theory, faster lap times, though the Pirelli tyres may hinder that plan. Jörg Zander, Technical Director, explains the changes in the development procedure in more precise terms: “We put greater emphasis on aerodynamic stability as opposed to maximising downforce.” Although the C36 will run with the tried and tested 2016 Ferrari engine, this may not be as powerful as new generation power units developed for the 2017 season. So the emphasis is definitely on improving the aero package for Sauber. It looks good too. Share this:TwitterFacebook Related
